Sugar Cookies
This is what I cook… when I don’t want chocolate!
This is my favorite super easy recipe.
- 1 cup unsalted butter , room temperature
- 2/3 cup + 3 tablespoons granulated sugar , divided
- 2 cups + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional, but recommended)
- rainbow sprinkles or nonpareils (optional, but recommended)
Scoop with cookie scoop to create one inch balls. Flatten balls slightly and and roll in 3 tablespoons of sugar or sprinkle with sprinkles. Bake at 325 for 14-16 minutes. Cool for another 10 minutes before taking off cookie sheet.
